Full Life-Cycle Database Application Development

One of the primary business functions that I offer is the design and deployment of full life-cycle, very cost effective, Custom Database Applications.  Simply put, this means that I can take a project from conception, through design, development, testing and deployment and deliver a complete, custom Database Application.

See some User Interface examples: Example #1; Example #2; Example #3

Over the years, I have developed many complete database applications for my clients.  Through the development of custom database applications my clients have been able to increase their ability to manage their data and to better manage their business.

Benefits

  • Make data entry, management and reporting from your database very efficient
  • Gain control of data management needs through quality User Interface
  • Eliminate erroneous data entry through good data validation
  • Each application customized to meet the user's needs

Capabilities

Let's Put My Years of Experience To Work For You    (Back to Top)
Due to the fact that I have been doing this for many years, I have developed the methods and code libraries that make the actual development much less time consuming and therefore much more affordable.

I just completed a two year contract working with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad where I successfully maintained and updated one specific Access database which they use in a multi-user environment to manage a critical part of their daily business.

The Manager Ag Equipment Operations,  BNSF Railway, had these comments:

"Byron came to BNSF Railway, and assumed responsibility for a new, incomplete, and rather complex multi-user application which is used to manage orders for unit trains, and various specialized marketing programs within the area of Agricultural Operations.   We were having problems with basic functionality, managing processes, as well as needing additional development work.   While maintaining a relationship with our eBusiness people, who contracted him, he worked directly with me to understand our business rules, and functionality needs.

Byron jumped in, and quickly got up to speed about our business.  He tackled the functionality issues, and helped develop solutions to our problems.  Some of the solutions he developed were collaborative; I enjoyed these sessions.  He also offered his own suggestions, when we didn't have a clear solution in mind.   All of these "fixes" were done efficiently, and well satisfy our needs.   I learned a lot from Byron, and truly enjoyed working with him.   We still maintain a relationship with him."
Repetition is a Plus    (Back to Top)
Doing anything over and over will always make the job easier. While every database is different, I have been developing databases that deliver the desired effect to users for many years. Therefore, I have the edge when it comes to the design of the actual database. Do not be misled, the design of the database is critical to the usefulness of the data

Most of the serious problem that database users experience are usually related to the design of the data it's self.

Programming Capability    (Back to Top)
I use the most commonly available platforms to create the actual user interface, the part you interact with.. Every attempt is made to design every screen to make data entry not only simple but fast and easy.  Due my many years of experience, I continually provide my customers with simple yet powerful database applications.

If you are experiencing any problems with your current database, please give me a call and let's see what we can do to make your database easier to use and maintain.
